He debuted with 'Lawak Antarabangsa' and followed by 'Budak Hostel' comic series that appeared in Ujang Magazine (Malaysia ’s most renowned cartoon magazine) in 1994.
In 1997-2002, 'Aku, Dia & Volkswagen' and 'IN' became popular and made him among one of the most prolific cartoonist/comic artist in Malaysia.
After more than 10 years experience as cartoonist, he has produced literally thousands of cartoons and illustrations for magazines, comics, greeting cards, t-shirts, gifts, and advertising.
He has a vast experience and knowledge in almost every aspect of cartoons, and now spreading it by devising and running a number of cartoon workshops.
Now, he is a full-time freelance cartoonist, comic artist, caricaturist, and designer. His recent work is 'Skoolastic' for G3 magazine; published by Kumpulan Karangkraf Sdn Bhd.
Ubi now lives in Kuala Lumpur, while hoping that someday he can afford to own a personal jet to whisk him away wherever, and whenever his heart desires.
