1) LEARN TO DRAW CARTOON CHARACTERS.

What's more fun than watching cartoons? Drawing them yourself! Using simple geometric shapes and the techniques you'll learn in this workshop, you can draw and create your own cartoon characters. It's easier than you think. Professional cartoonist/comic artist Ubi shows you how. This course is designed for ages 6-12.

What You Will Learn:

A step by step method for drawing the right character for a specific role.
How to draw a variety of cartoon character types.
How to use costumes to create specific types.
How to create different personalities by using freckles, eye glasses, hair styles, etc.; how these elements affect the characters.

2) CARTOON & INTRO TO COMIC ART WORKSHOP.

Want to draw cartoon and comics? Then this course is for you. Designed for the beginner, the course covers the basics of creating comic art as practiced by working professionals.
Each student should bring examples of his or her artwork for critique. This course is designed for ages 13- Adult.

Your workspace and drawing materials. What the pros are using.
How to create your own characters.
Constructing the head in all of its positions. Learn to turn the head in any direction, and draw the eyes, noses and hair.
How to draw out the expression and moods - everything from hate to love!

Backgrounds and perspective.
Selling your works. How to increase your chances of being published.
The Law of Copyright, and how it affects you.
