About Ubi the Cartoonist
My name is Raja Ahmad Kamil but popularly known as Ubi, which is my pen name. Creating and designing cool cartoon pictures is what I do best!
My career as a professional cartoonist started when I was just 18 – right after high school. My first work was published in UJANG MAGAZINE – The Malaysia’s Premier Cartoon Magazine (you can call it as another version of MAD Magazine).
After more than 10 years working there, I have produced literally thousands of cartoons, comics, and illustrations. I also have been awarded as “UJANG’S MOST POPULAR CARTOONIST” for year 2000-2002 based on readers votes. Well, you can say that I am a kind of celebrity here in Malaysia…
Now, I am a full-time freelance cartoonist, comic artist, caricaturist, and designer.
